Why It's Better
Plug & Play EOH Braking With CAM Included
Largest Reservoir
Over 1 quart (32 oz) of fluid capacity. Translucent tank for visual level checks. Better performance on multi-axle trailers.
Instant Response
12V DC pump fires the moment your brake controller sends a signal. No surge delay.
No CAM Needed
The only EOH actuator universally compatible with every brake controller. No adapter modules.
Saltwater Sealed
Stainless hardware, EPDM gaskets, and vented backing plate. Built for submersion at the boat ramp.
1600 PSI for disc brakes — covers most applications. 1200 PSI for heavy-duty drum brakes on 7K+ lb axles. 1000 PSI for standard drum brakes under 7K lbs.
Do I need a CAM?+
No. The GEN 8 works with all brake controllers without adapters. Exception: 2024–2026 GM trucks need a diode module (#381-7074).
Can I submerge it at the boat ramp?+
Yes. The marine actuator is sealed for submersion during launch and retrieval.
Is the buzzing noise normal?+
Yes. That’s the pump building and holding pressure. Completely normal.
How do I bleed the system?+
Start at the furthest caliper. Open the bleeder, pump DOT 3 through until no air bubbles. Work toward the actuator. Two full passes.
What fluid does it use?+
DOT 3 or DOT 4. Do not use DOT 5 — silicone fluid will damage the seals.

Applies to HBA-CAM 381-7073. GEN 8 actuators (2024+) do not require a CAM for most vehicles.
2021–2022 Ford Recall: A software error may cause trailer brakes to fail on F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, Maverick, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator. Certified Ford dealers will update the brake control module software free of charge. Check your VIN at NHTSA.gov.
Caution: Do not power wash the actuator or take it through a commercial car wash. High-pressure water may damage the seals.
