8K Conversion Kits
Upgrade your 8,000 lb axle trailer with a complete Hydrastar electric over hydraulic disc brake conversion kit. Engineered for heavy-duty applications including equipment haulers, gooseneck trailers, large RVs, and commercial trailers.
Each 8K kit includes the 1,600 PSI Hydrastar EOH actuator, 8K axle-rated Dacromet-coated rotors and calipers, hydraulic brake lines with fittings, brake flange mounting hardware, breakaway switch and battery, wiring harness, and prewired 7-Way RV cord with junction box. Bearings, seals, and grease caps are included.
Hydrastar offers 8K conversion kits compatible with major axle manufacturers including Dexter, Lippert, and Kaufman. Available in tandem and triple axle configurations with both 5/8" and 9/16" bolt pattern options.
The Dacromet-coated rotors and calipers offer superior corrosion resistance for trailers exposed to road salt, weather, and harsh environments. Hydrastar's hydraulic brake lines are triple annealed and eddy-current tested, with walls 40% thicker than standard tubing for reliable performance under heavy braking loads.
